The site also says as long as your hours are reduced, you can still file. These aren't normal unemployment operations.
John Doe receives $200 from the state, plus $540 with the stimulus for $740 a week. If John earns $250 a week, does he need to stop filing because it's over $200, or keep filing because it's under $740? That's the question that needs to be answered.

If you earn more than $247 per week from a job, you are ineligible for unemployment benefits in the state of LA.
The $600 extra from the feds, to receive you must be eligible for state benefits.
When you put the two together, you get the answer that you are ineligible for federal $600 if you make more than $247 a week. If you make $246 a week, you would get $1 in state benefits and $600 in federal benefits per week.

They may not say it, but the actual rule is "as long as your hours are reduced, and pay is less than $247". If you are reduced and making $300+ per week, you don't qualify.
Stupid, I agree. But the rules.
