This was filmed when the original cast was still there. Looking forward to this.
Was set for a theatrical run next year.

Me too.

There are so many Broadway productions I would pay to see via streaming.

Wicked
Avenue Q
Lion King

Loved it on Broadway. Actually got to see Lin in PR and that was very awesome. Glad others get to enjoy it now.

Will crash Disney+ for a couple hours.

In all seriousness, I got to see it with the Chicago cast (Cervantes is now on Broadway I the lead). It’s fantastic. But there will be at least one meltdown on this board over it.

Seen it live three times (once in NY, twice in Austin), but will definitely be watching this on D+.

Amazing show

Hilarious that Hamilton is getting downvotes on every post in this thread.

Would have been stupid as hell to release it in theaters anyway.

I am bothered by the roles not being played by actors of the same ethnicity as their characters.

Sincerely,

I like broadway musicals having seen a few on broadway and others elsewhere. I’m watching this right now and, admittedly, do not like it. It has not held my attention at all.

My wife talked me into watching this. I went in to this with the intention of not liking it. I didn't like the Pence ambush which was affecting my opinion going in...

To my pleasant surprise it was pretty good. A good history lesson done in a clever way that was most entertaining. I wasn't bothered by the actors color. That's the way the play was written and cast so I fine. I'm not a rap or hip hop fan so the songs that were more traditional singing were more entertaining the the more rap-like songs. With that said, all of the music was good.

King George stole the show...plain and simple.

I liked it just fine, but it was too long for my liking. Also I kept rooting for Thomas Jefferson and Madison.

I enjoyed it a lot.
I would hope they show this in schools as a new type of "school house rocks" type thing.

Only gripe is I think Miranda is the worst on stage.
I've seen him in other actor roles and he's just not good. Stick to writing bud

I didn't know a whole lot about this movie before hand. I enjoyed it initially but the whole concept began to feel like a novelty after 20 minutes. It just became very repetitive and boring IMO. I made it to an hour in and took a break to do something. I don't have much of a desire to finish.

I was pleasantly surprised. All my SJW facebook friends have been fawning over it for years so I just assumed I would hate it. It was very entertaining and seemed to attempt to be somewhat true to the history. Not a bad way to spend a couple of hours.
