LSU might get hit with stuff. They might not. Dickie V is not a Adam Schefter breaking news reporter though.

If he is then where are his tweets hinting that Kansas and Louisville were about to get hit? Actually the old fart might be so senile he doesn’t realize his source was talking about Kansas and Louisville

I don’t hate any university or person

My commentary on the situation has always been fair & unbiased.

Sounds like you have some personal issues with how you handle your emotions.

I love LSU and my university such that I don’t want a stone cold cheater running one of its major sports programs.

All coaches of successful programs at major universities are cheating, dude. Get over yourself

That’s legitimately sad that you think the LSU football team doesn’t cheat. The only difference is LSU football’s machine is so entrenched and established that O, or whoever the head coach is, doesn’t have to get his hands dirty.

Johnson and Jones were such sad sacks that Wade had to get more directly involved. Still should’ve been smarter than getting on the phone himself though

Dick is outraged that young athletes are allowed to monetize their talents. Only he and his high net worth buddies in the club should profit from their talents.

I would think an offer is enough to be considered a violation whether accepted or not.

Agreed, but the accusations were supposedly about Smart and him and his family were all investigated and they found nothing and cleared him. As long as no one admits to anything they really have nothing to nail LSU on.

No. The NCAA has not “cleared” Smart nor LSU. That doesn’t mean either are guilty of anything.

But this widely held notion that the NCAA “cleared” Smart and/or LSU simply is false.

The NCAA did investigate the Smart situation per all reports. To what detail this was performed is unknown, of course. If they did find anything, Smart would not be playing.

All they seem to have is a tape that any good lawyer can poke holes. Schools can ask for independent arbitration now (if the Memphis reporting is true) if they don't trust the NCAA to "handle" the investigation.

Only time will tell if more evidence has come to light.

Vitale just wants to remain relevant and for people to click on his inane Twitter feed!

Based on what they NCAA was saying in the press(that no investigation would take place until after the trial was over) the Smart stuff was very informal & it was kind of play him at your own risk type of thing

Except that the head coach is on tape admitting he made an offer to Smart and other players in the past.

LSU acted on unsubstantiated allegations
If nothing else they reinstated wade to avoid potential lawsuits while amending the contract to allow LSU to fire him later which wade and his representatives agreed to
