Golf Cart Brands

My wife and I are looking into purchasing a golf cart sometime in the next few months to ride around the neighborhood in. We’re wanting street legal lights, 4 seats, with a little style (lifted, wheels, etc.). I’m a little familiar with the normal brands such as Ez-Go and Club Car. But I’m seeing ads for Green Machine and I know nothing about them. Any experience with them?

Club car is best imo because of aluminum frame. Especially if you ever plan to bring it to beach. I got one from smart carts in Breaux bridge, he’s knowledgeable and has big selection.

I run a 2015 Club Car Precedent, gas engine, lifted with 26" tires. It's a work horse around my property, and fun to cruise down the street in the evenings.

Look into the lithium ion batteries. Converted mine a few months ago. 5 year warranty and more reliable than lead acid. Quick charge time and they have a longer range.

Not to hijack the thread, but are prices of golf carts at places like Smart Carts negotiable like vehicles?

I've had an ezgo since around 2000. both gas and electric.
for what u want a electric is fine. gas is noisier and may not be allowed in some campgrounds.
my current cart is a 250 terrain [2015 I think and it's gas and I love it to work around my property.
my dad's ezgo finally died and he got a used electric club car and put a utilty bed on if for use at the farm and loves it.
so my point is stick to the big brands and look around long enough to get exactly what u want.
good luck.

I have had my ezgo for about 5 years now. I have friends with club cars and the club cars are definitely nice, but they are more of a pain in the arse to work on than the EZgo in my experience. The club car brakes are screwy also. I have friends that the brakes will lock up when you just start to push down on the petal.
Oh, and electric all day over gas.
