He was injured last year.
Compare the Seattle game when he dominated to later in the season when he couldn’t cut or explode through lanes.
He is a top 10 weapon in the league when healthy.
Who would you rather pay 5 yr 57 mil to?
Him or Peat.
Personally I wish we let Peat go. Stayed with Warford one more year and drafted a linemen again in the top two rounds of next year. Unless Peat ends up at LT in a year he is not worth the contract.

It was dumb to pay Peat what they did and would be equally dumb if we paid kamara like that also.
Yes he is a weapon but RB's are diminishing investment on their second contract. I rather let Kamara walk after this year and take our chances to find a replacement. Better than to lock him to a huge deal and then not be able to lock up Winston if Sean turns him around. RB's are much easier to find than a QB.

Locking up Winston will be easy when Drew’s 25M is off the table. How much dead money will Brees carry over next year?

This a ridiculous statement... he was injured most of last year ... dude has single handily won us some games since he been here... you could argue he’s been the best offensive player since he got here
