It's terrible. I live 40 minutes from New Orleans and yes it was hit hard, but there are areas in La that have few cases. There are areas of the country that have suffered little from COVID but are decimated by the shutdown. This will happen again and we need a more sensible localized response than a blanket nationwide or statewide closure.

For instance, doesn't Mitch McConnell, who stood wonderfully fast against Merrick Garland, have significant financial interests with China?
You left out the Republicans being complicit in all of this

The Chinese lab where this virus originated was funded by who? You guessed it a Democrat administration.
Washington Times (the conservative one, not WaPo): “ it does not show signs of having been manufactured or purposefully manipulated in a lab.”
During an on-camera press briefing at the Pentagon, Joint Chiefs Chairman General Mark Milley says “we don’t know” whether the outbreak began in a Chinese lab.
As to the funding, the NIH grant, which is merely one project in that lab, was begun in 2014 under Obama, and renewed as recently as last year under, you guessed it, our current Republican president

The Washington fricking Times is your go to for definitive information on a virus? Jesus man. And by the way, the virus is 100% manipulated. The version of corona viruses that bat carries lack the ability to penetrate human cells. This is 100% FACT. That's why they injected it with HIV, so it could attack and attach to human cells. They happened to save about 800 years of natural evolution by doing this.

“we don’t know”
We absolutely do know. It's not even up for debate. Try looking into analysis by actual virologists. The only thing we don't 'know' is whether the release was intentional or not but that's kind of the whole point of this thread.

The part you're either being intentionally obtuse about this or just are a dumbass is that A L L of these grants were steered to that lab by the same little troll, Dr. Anthony Fauchi. The last one the Wuhan lab got for researching these types of viruses actually came after the Obama Administration issue an EO PROHIBITING taxpayer funding for these types of viruses because they were dangerous. Are you OK with the good Dr. Fauchi going around King fricknuts and giving the grant anyway? Did you know that Dr. Fauchi personally owns many patents in this field? Do you think that a public servant should be able to steal and claim to have developed them himself?
Since you like the WT, we'll use them.

[quote]“Back in 2014, the Obama administration prohibited the U.S. from giving money to any laboratory, including in the U.S., that was fooling around with these viruses. Prohibited. Despite that, Dr. Fauci gave $3.7 million to the Wuhan laboratory. And then even after the State Department issued reports about how unsafe that laboratory was, and how suspicious they were in the way they were developing a virus that could be transmitted to humans, we never pulled that money.”

Preach on.
This all a deep state plan and I don't believe that even the Chinese government was in on it.. it is Deep State, CIA to destroy the country and get us in a war with China.
Anything to stop America from prosperity and freedom.

I’m only on page two of this glorious thread, and as usual, the soy boys of this board have nothing to say to refute your claims except some lame arse one liners that don’t even address any of the points you’ve made

Well Steadmans Cheddar, educate yourself.
Look up the two SARS 2004 lab accidents in Beijing. I believe you will similarly find those released SARS viruses did not show signs of having been manufactured or purposefully manipulated in a lab. But they both came from a lab.
In other words, "manufactured or purposefully manipulated in a lab" has nothing whatsoever to do with the fact CV19 originated from a Wuhan lab, not from the wet market.

Certainly not; just avoiding deflection about the source being “liberal fake news”
The intelligence agencies, which are under the ultimate authority of the Republican president, all say it’s likely not man-made.
Many scientists agree it’s likely not man-made. LINK

Are you referring to the Dr. Fauci who is part of the Trump administration and is currently serving on the Republican president’s task force? If the person selected by the Republican president is part of the Democratic conspiracy, then either A) the president is part of the conspiracy or B) the president has been fooled and outplayed.

Maybe you missed the part where bamarep said “ And by the way, the virus is 100% manipulated.”
You’re making a much more nuanced argument than he is. He’s going full tinfoil hat; I don’t think you wanna hop in this boat with him

You mean the same scientists that think my F250 is going to kill us all. The same scientists think that a "fetus" isn't a baby? The same scientists that think if you chop your dick off you can be a woman? The same scientists that think electric cars powered by lithium batteries are actually better for the environment than said F250? (hint: check out what lithium mining does to the environment) I didn't say "scientists." I said virologist. Try again sparky.

You could also use, in your argument, that he was put into his position by Reagan and has held it ever since 1984, which means he's served under 4 Republican administrations compared with 2 Democrat.

If you have a point, please make it. Alabama has a Republican governor.

Sorry, by “virologist” I thought you meant people with PhDs who study viruses for a living. That’s who wrote the paper I linked. I didn’t realize “virologist” meant “scientists approved by bamarep”.
I’m not even disputing that some virologists may think it was manipulated. But please don’t lie and say that that position is consensus in the scientific community.

You also aren't disputing that Democrats are colluding with the Chinese with this whole thing because they are ALL bought and paid for by those lying bastards.

You’re making a much more nuanced argument than he is. He’s going full tinfoil hat; I don’t think you wanna hop in this boat with him
(1) The wet market origin
(2) Since the virus was not engineered, it could not have come from a lab.
(3) CV19 actually came from the US Army or from Italy.
(4) There are no new CV19 cases in China, and China's economy is relatively unaffected.
Here is what we know. CV19 originated in Wuhan. Neither of the first two patients had any connection to the Huanan Seafood Market. That makes Wet Market origin a dubious possibility at best.
