Danny McCray had a 6 year NFL career

I was just abt to come on here and scream “DANNY MCCRAY!” I remember every time he was on the field at LSU he was getting torched by the opposing team on a long pass play or for a 3rd down conversion. Then I saw him for several years playing the Cowboys and being successful. Great job on his part on improving his game enough to earn a couple of contracts.

Russell Shepard. Worked hard to make a team after really having no position or playing time at LSU. And, he is still around

Al woods somehow managed to make an extremely long nfl career out of being a backup in college. I played against him in high school so always kind of kept up with him.
He’s already played 10 years and still in the league.

I'll probably get heat for this but Honey Badger.
He was SO GOOD at LSU and in ways that you just can't teach. His instincts were incredible. I mostly thought he was going to be unable to kick pot and wind up getting booted from the league. He proved me very wrong. I also thought he was just too small to be big time in the NFL. Thought that he couldn't overcome his size, but even if he did overcome his drug issues and also did llay well he'd still be riddled with injuries to the point of getting booted.
So glad I was so wrong. I always wished the best for him but always had that "if I'm being honest" kinda things.

Andrew Whitworth, not because he was better or worse in the NFL but because he somehow continues to play at a high level at 38 years old as an offensive lineman.

Jeremy Hill. Thought he’d have a better career

I know it's not football, but I can't believe Garrett Temple is still playing in the NBA, especially considering how long the other Tigers from that Final Four team played.

Can't believe no Alfred Blue yet. Never thought I would ever hear his name again after LSU. How many of you thought he would make it in the league for as long as he did?

Les miles ruined Russell Shepard LSU career

Jamarcus Russell being so lazy and bad.
DJ Chark becomes a true #1.
Danielle Hunter becoming a top 5 D-end.

Russell Shepard definitely surprised me the most. He played for Cy Ridge in HS (H-town TX) just a few miles away. I think he was a 5* dual QB that never amounted to much at LSU. Miles just didn't use his talents the way he could have - even if it wasn't a QB. Good to see him believe in himself and his abilities and play professionally. A lot of these guys that get drafted definitely have NFL ability. The NFL values hard work and commitment as much as talent. Props to all the LSU and NFL players!

This is the correct answer. I want to say he was even voted captain for the cowboys and bears at least once.

I know it’s just one play, but Danny Etling’s 90 yard touchdown run was pretty surprising.

Wade Richey.
Absolutely caused cursing in the stands at LSU... And had a NFL career.. I think he went to a pro bowl a few times. I know one year with the 49ers, I don't think he missed but a couple times the whole year.

I was going to come in here and post the exact same thing. TM7 is one of the very few players that had issues in college that has not had issues in the NFL. Most players don’t outgrow that mainly because they refuse to get away from the people that enabled that behavior. Shows what kind of character TM7 has and support system he has around him now.
