We're 18 days removed from Easter and haven't had the spike. What is his problem??!!

Still 35 cases in my parish ... assuming that 21 day is the recovery period, we have "at most" 13 potential active cases in our parish. Still only 1 death and it was VERY early on (still sad).

(14 days is used in some cases for recoveries but I can't find the info ... if you use 14 days as assumed recovered, then we have 8 positive cases remaining)

Weird how social distancing “works” for every metric except deaths...

He's a Louisiana politician and federal money is on the table.

But total deaths are still increasing, so we have stay closed until next Easter.

So this chart shows that he was lying about an increase in Acadiana region 4.

Deaths not dropping while ventilators are at like 1/2 of peak.
This shite doesn't make sense.

28,001 active cases
1,862 deaths
17,303 (recovered as of 4/26)

8,836 Active cases based on data provided. Enter assumptions

Recovered data is 3 days old. 21 days from 4/26 is 4/05. New cases:
4/06 - 1,857
4/07 - 1,417
4/08 - 746
4/09 - 1,253

3,563 Active cases
1,601 in Hospitals
1,962 Cases not in hospitals

Obligatory: The 21 days is a guideline given by ldh and based on when the patient tests positive. The information that we have readily available is when the positive test result is known, not when the test was administered. In addition, the date of the onset of symptoms does not matter either.

They are finding deaths somewhere. Because they aren’t coming from the hospitals

Outside of two high outliers (4-14 and 4-15), deaths have been between 50-70 per day for a full month. It’s not consistent with anything even if you try to take into account lags.

Pride I can tell you that we've had deaths at our nursing home from covid and they weren't in the hospital. I thought we were over the hump but the ADON told me that some who were positive, had meds and were on the right track have regressed and now there are some who were negative but are now showing signs and being retested.

Yep. Right now Region 5 & 6 have me concerned. There numbers are so low that a "bad day" or reallocation of cases could cause a spike.

There are still 61 cases where the "Parish is Under Investigation".

This was as of Wednesday. Not sure how current these numbers were at that time. They should break it out into deaths from nursing homes as well.
