You might beat the rap but you won't beat the ride. Problem with standing up to the cops.

Hired an ex-cop as a salesman once and he told me straight. Cops have this saying and it is the ultimate get over on someone who dares mouth off or even verbally defend themselves. The ride meaning the arrest, barred back seat ride downtown, holding and booking, bonding or even a night's sleep over. You even get a nice photo.

Then you sue the arresting officer personally and dox his family.

Sounds like a real winner.

Was he thrown off the force?

Which might have something to do why he is an ex-cop.

Ego in a uniform is a shitty mix.

That's exactly what they do and it is why so many people willingly give up their rights and say or do whatever the cop wants them to.

It's horseshite but rarely if ever prosecuted as false arrest.

That's a fine saying until the department gets their asses sued for a false arrest.

Cops do not have diplomatic or sovereign immunity. The right lawsuit can ruin them permanently.

I hope this virus ends the Republican Party's obsession with back the blue. Cops are not your friends and have zero interest in protecting your freedoms.

Wow! Really makes you love cops even more.

We have a serious violent cop problem in this nation. Partly because we have far too many laws.
But as far as I’m concerned the thin blue line motto is completely garbage. Screw them. As much as I think Kapernick is a douche, I didn’t have any problem with his kneeling. Because there are a lot of crappy mean violent cops out there. And they don’t just abuse black people. They no knock raid and shoot pregnant women as well.

It won't.

The parties have to be opposite of one another.

You’re still out of thousands of dollars in legal fees.

In a world where many people can’t scratch together $400 for an emergency expense, the thought of having to hire a lawyer is a deterrent to noncompliance.

Exactly.

No matter what happens, you are out time and thousands of dollars just because the cop doesn't like your attitude.

People can easily lose their job as well.

Same here. The police are not your friend.

Use to be a supporter of LEOs and I am a Conservative. With the the recent events my mind is changed. the police have turned into runny terds. They are the King's Tax Collectors and I believe we need to treat them as such.

And then you own them. Literally. Sue them in their official capacity and their individual capacity. Any dollar he makes for the foreseeable future - frick you, pay me.

Yes he was I found out later. He didn't last long with us. We had other former LEO's who were great guys and produced. This guy had moved south from an area known for attitude.

It was tough checking out former employers then since the rules about what they could share were strict. They basically could only say he was or was not a former employee and the applicable dates in that city.

need some clarification. Since there are some bad cops, am I supposed to hate all cops? If so, then is it OK for me to say I all hate black people too, since a greater percentage of them are violent? Or can I just hate the bad ones and still like and respect the good ones?

I would just hate all people, you don't want to miss anyone.
