How to stop pop up ads on phone

Keep getting redirect ads popping up on my browser, mainly when using tigerdroppings.
I think they started after I accidentally clicked on a pop up ad while on this site. Not sure if that's the exact cause, but the only other thing I've done on my phone today is download an Allstate app and the ads just started.

There are complaints on the OT about the same thing. It happens sometimes. Clear your browser data and see if it stops.

Get an ad blocker app. Browsing is so much better with one installed. I’ve been looking at paid options to block pop ups in apps. All the free ones only work on your browser.

I got Pi-hole running on my network couple months ago; it's awesome and free. About 95% of the ads I used to see are now gone including porn
The cool thing is it works at the network level (DNS) for PCs, phones, tablets, smart tvs etc unlike a browser add on. Though it doesn't work for Youtube ads as most of the ads are hosted by Youtube servers and you still need a broswer add on for it.
It takes a little tinkering but not that bad and once setup it's fairly easy to maintain. I bought my first Raspberry Pi specifically for Pi-hole and that was the harder part but plenty of guides, videos out there. Though you can install it on something else if you have another server already.

Download the "Puffin" cloud browser and turn on Ad Blocker.
