Tech stocks dipped big time on the vaccine news

There are three vaccines being released very shortly. Manufacturing was begun back in July at the end of positive phase 2 testing. It's a big deal, but the process will still be slow and all reports indicate that the side effects are often more than a little unpleasant.

I suspect that excitement will wear off in a couple of days and the reality that it's still a long road home will set in.

gentle reminder about the 3Q earnings reports from on-line advertising companies

a portfolio without some of these companies is bereft, IMO. nothing about this is COVID-related

I just got back in on tdoc but Im riding calls. TDOC is lagging behind other tech stocks that have staged a pretty quick comeback after the MRNA news but I expect it to catch up

Airbnb on Monday released its prospectus to debut on public markets. The company allows users to book short-term rentals and experiences while traveling.

The company made $219 million in net income on revenues of $1.34 billion last quarter. That was down nearly 19% from $1.65 billion in revenue a year prior. Despite primarily turning net losses, the company has had other occasional quarters of profitability, including the second and third quarters of 2018 and the third quarter of 2019.

The company said it plans to trade under the symbol “ABNB” on the Nasdaq.
