I'm pro social distancing and in favor of the shutdown. I think we saved lives and the economic damage will be temporary. That said, it looks like we are in for a big spike in November. We need to get whatever commerce we can safely perform up and running for the summer months. If we wait too long November could force us to be shutdown til this time next year.

Heres to hoping for phase 1 to 2 in May in LA. Maybe with something to protect the vulnerable from being forced into work until we are clear.

Convenient timing for that narrative. Wonder why we would be at threat to need to shutdown in November. Must be something somewhat important going on around that time.

Seems like we should let people open up if they feel comfortable opening up. If people feel comfortable going there, they'll go. If not, they won't.

What's wrong with that approach?

The government will reward your obedience...

I think we allowed fear to needlessly shut down our economy. I'm sure another poster thinks something else.

Well then i guess we better shut down the economy again...

What's wrong with that approach? You mean to tell me you don't see what is wrong with personal accountability for one's own actions? How will you ever be allowed outside the camps with sort of defiant attitude? You have another few weeks in the hot box to think about your actions. Then, if you think the right way, the government way, you'll be allowed to see outside, with the appropriate governmental restrictions, of course.

You should have said,

"I'm stupid" as well.

models, models, models - fake
beds, beds, beds - fake
vents, vents, vents - fake
shutdowns will help - fake
social distancing will help - fake
masks, masks, masks - fake
testing, testing, testing - fake

But you got it all figure out now?

The problem with this is you were attempting to "think", maybe don't think.

RE OPEN ALL BUSINESSES

IF YOU DON’T LIKE IT, YOU CAN STAY HOME WHILE THE REST OF US WORK AND ENGAGE IN COMMERCE

fricking tired of some people trying to hold everyone else back.

How many lives do you think we saved and can you be specific on what you mean by "temporary" with respect to the economic damage?

Temporary to whom? And when you say temporary, how many generations do you consider temporary? We have permanently destroyed this economy for your children and their children. We have already had almost $3 trillion in relief bills, and have not even gone back to work. We are going to have to bail out the states and many more industries before this is over. Good thing the world is going to end in 12 years due to Climate Change.
