Do we really want these two companies tracing our every step? seems they will be using Bluetooth to track every individual. But will they stop tracking us when Covid is over?

I find this very unnerving.

They tracked you before corona. It’s just their way to get it out there that they track you in a way thats acceptable to the ‘greater good’ folks. Slight acceptance over time is their play.

Yes, but it's not really anything all that new, they've been doing stuff like this for a while. This is why I got rid of my smart phone.

Bluetooth tracking devices have been around for a while. We use it to track vehicles for traffic studies.

Some of the new low energy devices available can track your phone even when Bluetooth is turned off. It can also track a number of other devices.

While it has great application for traffic related origin-destination, and travel time studies, I would assume it could easily be used for anything.

Hell, I just received an email from Google giving me the history of where all I have been, complete with photos of the locations and categorized by business types. As if I am supposed to be pleased rather than disturbed.

Hell, I switched to android in part because Apple sucks. Now it looks like I chose the greater of two evils.

What am I doing wrong guys? I know some of you have got to be more tech savy than I am.

Do you own a smartphone using either iOS or Android?

Bluetooth range is like 30 feet, tops. They're using Wifi, cell tower and GPS. Your phone has at least 3 radios, a microphone and any number of cameras on it.

Not only is your every move being tracked and recorded (and has been since you bought your first smartphone up to 13 years ago), but every thing you've said and many images of your life are also captured, tagged and associated with all that time.

Sleep well!
