Read the quotes and ask yourself that question.

The way you people blindly defend Trump is astounding.

If they are operating without borrowing, then maybe this is the new budget?

So Biden said that we shouldn’t be cutting off travel to China. Then called trump racist for doing so. In your infinite wisdom, should we have not cut travel off to China as Biden suggested?

Hey, instead of raising taxes how about you folks reduce the size of government?

Been getting lots of calls from "collections" about unpaid camera tickets. Trying to make that deficit up $90 at a time.

It's clear Latoya thinks she's getting a bailout.

I live in EBR. I haven’t seen any government bodies here laying off or furloughing employees. Neither is the state.
Contrast that with many private businesses and that should tell you something.
The facts is all these governments are facing major decisions and the longer they wait to do something the worse it will be. I can’t see raising taxes as an option.

ETA: a down vote from a government worker perhaps?

Wtf do you think New Orleans and LA as a whole was supposed to do?
Pass the buck and blame someone else for their lack of ability and lack of personal responsibility.

You should run for mayor of NOLA.

What does Biden have to do with any of this? Who cares what he thinks at this point.

The large number of downvotes when all you did was post Trump's own words is comical. The fact that half the country (probably 75% of TD posters) doesn't care what he says or does is highly troubling...talk about blind devotion...

Don't agree with every damn thing the guy says or does, but Trump was 100% right in trying to tamp down the overreaction to this bogus pandemic. We've got plenty of Chicken Littles already, without the President joining in.

Yup. They do not care what he does or says they will support him no matter what. It's sad.

Right because we shouldn't look to the President of the United States to provide leadership and foresight in the face of a national public health crisis.

Maybe if he hadn't fired the pandemic response team of all things 2 years ago we'd have been better positioned to coordinate and respond to this situation.

That a New Orleans problem and they need to fix it.

They can
1) Make cuts to services
2) the citizens need to be taxed more.

No one should bail them out.
Their money problems are their money problems.

If we're going to do this then we shouldn't bail out the airlines or any other industry, right?

You are out of your mind. This will become everyone’s problem in Louisiana because there will be a mass exodus of businesses and residents that the state won’t be able to collect taxes on too.
