I was in my last month in the bush in Vietnam but did hear something about that good looking chick (Sharon Tate) from Valley of the Dolls getting slaughtered with a few others by some hippies. Bummer, man.
Heard, read and saw a lot more about it years later. Sick puppies in this world.
Really liked the way Pitt/DiCaprio/Tarantino retold it.

I was.......
It shocked all of us really. To kill Sharon Tate, a pregnant woman and her baby like that was surely the work of a demoniac. I wondered what could possibly lead a person(s) to do such an evil thing? But then a few years later we had this Jonestown massacre, and the death of hundreds, including little children. It seemed as if our culture was spinning out of control. I haven't seen any indication that things are getting better either.
We should pray daily for sinners, especially bad ones. Especially the ones in our own family.

Sharon Tate's dad was an Army intelligence officer and was in Vietnam during the early part of the war. He was also instrumental in bringing the whole murder investigation together through his own work.
A while back I read somewhere that one of Sharon's relatives lived in Petal, MS and was auctioning off some of her personal items that she recieved from Sharon's grandmother when she was a kid. Small world.

I was born shortly after the murders but was aware of who Manson was. I watched Helter Skelter and it scared the shite out of me.
