My dad made a helluva duck gumbo. Never saw any of it left over. Never been able to duplicate it, either...

A man can make his gumbo however the frick he wants to. Doesn’t necessarily mean it’s good though.
I personally don’t use okra, but I bet you wouldn’t push the bowl away if I served you some.

One time when I was in 5th grade we had a Dutch foreign exchange student over for dinner. My mom served gumbo and in the most Dutch accent ever he said "I don't really like the Yumbo."
