Premature baby dies from COVID-19 complications

This is the headline.
The facts are: the mother contracted the virus, went on a ventilator, and subsequently went into pre-term labor, delivering the baby at 22 weeks.
Sadly, the baby didn’t make it. Is it just me who thinks this headline is misleading? They do not know at this time if the infant had the virus.
But there’s so much more sensationalism to say “1 day old dies of..” than “Co-vid causes premature birth”. Don’t get me wrong...this is a tragedy, and you can truthfully say the baby’s death was ultimately the result of the virus. However...This constant sensationalism is making me more insane than I already am from this never-ending quarantine.

I was trying to find this information. Where did you see this reported as such?

Technically, the baby died because the mother had it.

This is why we live in a "question everything" culture, and no one believes anything.
Just take a trip to drudge report, and take a look at all the headlines with "..." in front and behind of horrible sounding excerpts. It's really amazing.

Facts don't generate clicks.

Most 22 week preterm babies won't make it and the vast majority will die of lung issues.

If the mother went on a vent due to contracting the virus, the pregnancy was already a high-risk one.

classic example of why you should always read the actual articles instead of clickbait headlines
it explains the details in the article, but most people will just read the headline

There is sensationalism in every headline with any news, sports, weather, non covid, covid. Just chill out and read articles. Its not a new thing. OR you could just not give a frick.
