You ALSO completely missed the point... not surprising

The Utah Dept of Health issued a reasonable order

The Utah Dept of Commerce countermanded that order (with no authority to do so, but it halted prescriptions of the drug)

The Doc's video went viral, and the governor of Utah is hot on the trail (he had to make a similar rescission a few weeks ago when another rogue department got out of line)

bullshite. Many will now because elective procedures are cancelling. Hospitals have a financial incentive to see this end.

That’s why doctors are talking negatively of Hydroxychloroquine
What about the doctors who are prescribing it? Yours is a mind-numbingly stupid opinion.

You keep saying this even though it has been proven to you that this is false

you think 4 shills skyscreaming in unison "proves" anything?

That's adorable. You clowns have zero credibility.

Can you please share why you believe the Pharmacy Board has no authority over prescription drugs?

No one thinks you’re going to get smarter in your own thread.

The doctor cited by Gateway Pundit is free to write a prescription for a patient who has tested positive for Covid 19 provided he has results demonstrating the positive test and that the prescription doesn’t run for longer than 7 days.

ETA: I would trust this genius doctor more if he spelled azithromycin correctly in his angry tweet.

Looks like it is banned as a preventative measure, not treatment.

That’s how I’m reading it. I think Op is off base here

This is a licensing committee. They check credentials and review complaints. Zero MDs on this board. The Board of Health makes these calls on epidemics and approved meds. The Board grossly overstepped their authority.

Watch what happens to this ruling in the next couple days.

But someone was on here the other day saying how “no one is overriding doctors who want to use the trump drugs”.

No one really is in Utah either. They’re not allowing preventive use of the drug and they’re asking for a positive Covid test to that end.

It’s in all the stuff you’re quoting. I can’t help you read for comprehension.

On March 26, the Utah Department of Commerce issued guidance regarding prescriptions for hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine. Noting the lack of evidence established either drug as effective in the treatment or prevention of COVID-19, the Department has established guidance to govern the dispensing of both drugs.

No prescription for hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine should be dispensed in Utah unless it includes a written diagnosis, confirmed by a documented positive test result. If those conditions are met, pharmacists should only dispense a 7-day supply of the prescribed medication, with no refills permitted unless a new prescription is written.

At this time, the Department’s letter is not publicly available.

Let me emphasize a few key words for you since you don't seem to comprehend your own article.

Here is a portion of your words on the matter:

quote:

The Utah Dept of Commerce countermanded that order (with no authority to do so, but it halted prescriptions of the drug)

At best, you don't know what the word halted means

Other than he thinks they might work due to info given to him by others why in the heck are the idiot brigades on both sides calling these "Trump drugs"?

The wee little tRumpkins have even convinced themselves they are not being used to spite the POTUS, the entire concept boggles the mind and it takes a wackjob to even buy into that nonsense.

The governor has already stepped in. And not the first time he's had to smack down rogue administrators grossly overstepping their authority

Would love to, but they have withdrawn their letter to pharmacists from public view. I'm sure someone will get a Freedom of Information order (after a battle from the Dept of Commerce)

This is pretty much the same tactic the lobbyists used in Michigan. Bypass the State Board of Health and leverage the licensing board for docs and pharmacists - the Mich governor stepped in and rescinded it.
