Why are there so many Chinese?

They had a one-child rule for half a century and have a lower birth rate than the US yet almost 20% of the world's population is Chinese.

China had a shite ton of strong dynasties that dominated southeast Asia as well as a frick ton of land that people can grow crops on and don't have harsh climates like say Russia. Sustabible climates plus arable land equals lots of people living there

Chinese and Japanese are both going to see similar issues as the Western hemisphere. While educated whites (unfortunately) have the lowest child rate, they have both a very aging population and a high majority male population. The numbers will start to lower there. It's the Middle East and Africa that need some condoms...
