Fat Tuesday was 5 1/2 weeks ago and yet I still hear or see on the news that this could be a factor in LA high cases. Am I missing something? Isnt the incubation period 2-14 days?

Also, everyone I know or normally come into contact with has been on some level of social distancing, quarantine, work from home order anywhere from 12 - 23 days ago. How are the number of cases increasing?

Basically cutting each persons interactions from hundreds per week to under a dozen or less easy. Even if half the population has been complying then I dont understand how cases are still on the rise. Not that many people are still going about their daily lives, its simply impossible with all the closings and mandates. Even if you wanted to act as if nothing was wrong and ignored every mandate you could not. No haircuts, no dining in, no athletic events, no bar scene, 6 ft markers everywhere in the grocery store, no movies, majority of people are working from home, etc...What are they not telling us?

FYI, posted on political board with no response.

Probably been around longer than Mardi Gras TBH. Impossible to know because nobody was looking for it

Another added hysteria factor. Everyone believes its only been here since March 1 and are using that to calculate the “exponential growth”

Your inability to understand time frames is truly astounding.

What do you think all the Mardi Gras infested people were doing up until the shelter in place order that didn’t happen until March 22?

Spreading it all over the state

Exactly. I totally understand thats how it worked initially. But with all the social distancing and the time frame, I do not get it. No.

Incubation is 3-4 days. Severe symptoms don't usually present until 10-14 days.

I guess it must be the people you don’t know. What’s that, like 12-15 people in the state?
