It not just small towns. Sheriffs (not sheriff deputies) are some of the most powerful individuals in law enforcement. Obviously the power is limited to that county.

Isnt this the same guy who got upset that Harsin wouldnt disclose his vax status? Hes a hack.
re: Get rid of GOP moniker

Seems as if the GOP term became prominent during Obama's run. Had never really heard it before then. Media loves it though...

I actually think it shows how inept A Johnson was... Take a look at the preseason rankings and predictions the last few years... This is actually overdue. Good decision to cull Johnson is all.
re: Wilder/Fury 2 replay on ESPN2
Posted by JimmyMcNulty on 12/27/20 at 12:50 pm to The Egg
Watched it live and only clips sense then. Obvious to me that Fury hit Wilder in the back of the head early and that really threw off his equilibrium. Wilder was bleeding from his ear and his balance wasnt there. I do believe Wilder won the first fight. I would watch a third basically hoping Wilder figures something out.

No 'need' to play? You sound like the Big10 and media regarding Ohio St. Most teams havent had a 'need' to play for the entire year or their football existence... The need to play is to play.

Alabama does not offer early voting.

Joe Hamilton was a better fit for a single season award than Ron Dayne.

Terrible take. Although Chan Gailey did not have success against UGA, he did lead them to the ACC Championship Game. Paul Johnson's teams appeared in the ACC Championship Game three times, winning it once. They also had an Orange Bowl victory...

This could all have been avoided... Follow me..
No golf cart cops...
Purely a money grab.
Did these people act a fool? Yes.
Never should have been in this situation in the first place though...

Exactly. I totally understand thats how it worked initially. But with all the social distancing and the time frame, I do not get it. No.
Mardi Gras Narrative

Fat Tuesday was 5 1/2 weeks ago and yet I still hear or see on the news that this could be a factor in LA high cases. Am I missing something? Isnt the incubation period 2-14 days?
Also, everyone I know or normally come into contact with has been on some level of social distancing, quarantine, work from home order anywhere from 12 - 23 days ago. How are the number of cases increasing?
Basically cutting each persons interactions from hundreds per week to under a dozen or less easy. Even if half the population has been complying then I dont understand how cases are still on the rise. Not that many people are still going about their daily lives, its simply impossible with all the closings and mandates. Even if you wanted to act as if nothing was wrong and ignored every mandate you could not. No haircuts, no dining in, no athletic events, no bar scene, 6 ft markers everywhere in the grocery store, no movies, majority of people are working from home, etc...What are they not telling us?
FYI, posted on political board with no response.

You think its bad right now that Bama or Clemson have to lose 2 in order to miss the playoff? Just wait until its expanded to 8 teams. OSU, OU, Bama, Clemson will be shoe-ins every year moving forward...
