Imagine a captain of a carrier in 1940 leaking something that gives the enemy detailed information about our naval readiness.

Now imagine it’s 2020 and not 1940. That memo does not give detailed information about our naval readinessp

What? Telling the whole world there's a deadly virus aboard our aircraft carrier is the definition of poor opsec. Someone that highly ranked should know better.

Did you activate one brain cell to ponder this before you posted it? You wanna think about it and try again?

Well he did let the enemy know the readiness of a carrier which is kind of a big deal.

Sir, I don't know anything about you. I don't know if you served, how long, what level, but, with all due respect, you have no idea what the frick you're talking about.

It absolutely revealed information that is highly useful to our enemy.

Sending the letter is normal, understandable command concern (if a little jumpy). Leaking the letter (if he did it) is sedition of the worst sort.

What do they say about the military that there is a chain of command that's to be adhered to? He broke that chain.

So a memo where the Captain if a deployed nuclear powered aircraft carrier saying basically he wants to go into port and reduce the crew to 10% is not detailed information on readiness.....Dear Lord, you sir may be the biggest idiot on TigerDroppings.

Wrong, medical/dental issues directly relate to fighting capability!

No, but now the whole world know that one of our 11 aircraft carriers that are used to maintain naval power in areas around the world is in a state of flux. Had the information not been leaked no one would be the wiser while we offloaded sailors and and the ship was well below optimal readiness.

One might assume your mind functions with the same "readiness" as your spelling.

What an ignorant statement, you should be embarrassed.
