You Church People need to chill; your actions will bring more restrictions

Most of us aren’t doing this.

I’m certain there are more spring break people gathering together than Christians gathering together. But “whacky church folk” gets more page clicks.

but they need to go to their mega churches so they can donate to the pastor's much needed G6!!!

My parents are from Lafourche parish and are Christians, but their Church isn’t presently gathering and they are staying at home.
It’s wrong to generalize.

What is Joel Olsteen doing during these times?

I am sure he will publish a new book in the next few weeks in order to recoup any losses he will have because of people quarantining.

But how can god hear me if I don't say it loudly in front of a bunch of people?

Would you rather have people live in fear, bowing to every whim of some know-nothing bureaucrat who can make you lose your job, imprison you in your own home and restrict commerce in your state?

While I don’t know this particular minister and his specific cause, I do applaud these people for standing up to these politicians who blindly would strip away our freedoms because they are concerned for my welfare.

How many people will be put out of work by the stroke of a pen and how will people provide for their families? If these shutdowns and stay at home orders continue for any length of time, people will suffer from much more than a virus and the damage to our country and economy may be irreparable.

It “pastors” like this guy that really give organized religion a bad name. And the people who follow him are misguided.

Sounds like if churches are going to ignore government orders established for public safety then they’re determining themselves an “essential business”. So take their tax exemption away.

That’ll nip that in the bud real quick.
