How many rounds do you have?
Posted on 3/30/20 at 3:56 pm to TechDawg2007
Already had a bunch. I'm not fighting the same people that buy up all of the toilet paper for ammo too

congrats on overpaying.
and how many people do you think you'll have to shoot before LEOs show up and either arrest you or shoot you from a position far away?
do you really think you're gonna have to shoot that many people defending your homestead?

This is irritating me. Everything I could've bought a month ago for next to nothing is 2x the price now. I wish I would've bought as much as I wanted when I had the opportunity.

It’s like sandy hook all over.
I’m good for now
It will pass and get back to normal before long.

Last I bought was 1000 rounds, brass, 55 grain fmj, at I believe it was 0.23 per round. I'm not going to go out and buy ammo at the height of a frenzy.
What was your price per round, if you don't mind my asking?

If a Democrat wins in November it will never be normal again.
Kiss it goodbye, because it's already gone.

In all the chrysies we've had in this country in modern times, how many occurred that required you to have 1000+ rounds of any caliber ammo? How many accounts do you know of where a person had to defend himself or his property for an extended period of time and used over 100 rounds of ammo?
i'm not arguing against procuring as much as you want, but I think its a stretch that you will actually need it for anything other than recreation.
That said, I have a bunch too. But I've been buying it for a long time.

It'll probably take 6-12 months for the supply chain to recover from this, same as Sandy Hook, but then there is also a presidential election coming up which is always a wildcard.
I can tell you all of the wholesalers are flat out of anything halfway desirable. No 9, 223/5.56, 12 gauge buckshot, 45, 357, even 38 special is now gone (that took a little longer). It'll take a while for the retail stores to be able to restock. You can always buy it on Gun Broker at a premium if you're desperate.

Oh, I have other shite for self-protection. I just want to buy ammo to shoot, and I'm not paying $0.30/round just to go shoot at a bottle.

If Trump loses in November it'll be 12 months for prices to return to February 2020 levels, that is if Democrats don't do anything stupid that causes another round of panic buying.

Buy it when it's on sale throughout the year. That's what I do. Sign up for email notifications from places like MidwayUSA. I try to keep at least 500 rounds for every gun that I own.
