What happens to Southern Hemisphere, with winter coming?

Fall/Winter means they don't get the defense of the heat.
If the rest of the world doesn't have their shite together before May, and able to help. . .the body count could be almost genocidal for South America and Sub-Saharan Africa, which I assume to have a relatively poor hospital capacity.
Am I wrong here?

You're probably right but as of this minute South America and Sub-Saharan Africa are WAY down my worry list...

Flu season in the Southern Hemisphere is April through September. It is definitely something to watch for obvious reasons.

We'll never know. Most of the countries in Africa and South America aren't going to track this with any diligence, and if they do they aren't going to report it.

Most of the Southern Hemisphere does not get as cold as the Northern Hemisphere, in NZ, it gets cold on The South Island around the 4th of July. If you were in Australia you would still be outside a lot in that the weather is a lot like Los Angeles most of the winter. Most of sub Saharan Africa is between the tropics. Most of the Southern Hemisphere is mostly water

Just less hot.
The cooler it is, the more survivable this thing is. . .and the more rampant it will spread.
