Cheapest option to kill clover

My house sits on 4 acres...I’d like to get rid of the clover. What is my cheapest option that is still effective?

Clover likes to grow in nitrogen deprived soil. Get your lawn properly fertilized and that will help a ton. Also if your grass is St. Augustine, cut it at like 2.75" o 3" tall. St. Aug likes to be cut high and it helps crowed out clover and other weeds.

Cut it low with the lawn mower about 3 weeks in a row. It will mostly be gone if not all gone.

clover will disappear once the summer heat sets in.

Pour gasoline all over the soil. It will kill the clover.

Fertilizer. I promise this will have the greatest effect like other are saying. It won't come back either.

I just spread clover seed in my backyard this week. I am at the point where I don't care what grows back there, as long as it is green and keeps some of the dirt on the ground instead of in my house.
