The time has come to part with my boat. In no rush to sell, but I'd like to get it done. Where are you guys listing or shopping? Ebay, boattrader, facebook?

What kind of boat? Craigslist

I sold my bay boat on Facebook marketplace. Also got activity from La Sportsman classified.

Hadn't thought of that. Thanks!

Facebook marketplace will get you lots of low offers and tons of window shoppers. I just sold a camper there and it did work.

I would start with tiger droppings, probably the outdoor board, although you can not list something for sale, you could start a thread asking where is a good place to sell a boat and hopefully a few posters will ask you questions about the details of the boat and who knows one might buy it???

The Hull Truth, Facebook Marketplace, Louisiana Sportsman, craigslist. Mud motor talk if it's a surface drive.

I would also take out a classified add on the hull truth forum.
Bought and sold my worldcat that way and quickly too.

That was not the intent of this post.

like its okay to give precise details of your boat and possible asking price so we can give you a better recommendation on course of action.

Last June I put my 18.5 ft. dual console/bowrider boat up for sale on Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, and Louisiana Sportsman.
I think I got one response each from Craigslist and La. Sportsman.
Facebook Marketplace had responses immediately coming out the yin-yang blowing up my phone on Facebook messenger; with folks basically trying to be the first ones there to see the boat. Sold it for asking price to the 2nd guy who came and saw it in person.
I probably should have asked more for the boat, but asked (and got) what I had originally paid for it 12 years before.

I didn't want to deal with the potential buyers so I let the Boat Yard sell mine.
