Need more context. What's Massey grandstanding about?
If we're going to throw $2 trillion on top of the existing national debt, this bill should be debated. The American people deserve to hear the garbage in this bill. They deserve to hear arguments for and against its passage. Massie is today's Ron Paul. He is a true believer when it comes to limiting government, which 3/4 of Americans have ZERO interest in.

Exactly. The same people wanting Congress to jam through this bill because "It's not perfect but the government HAS to do something!!!" will be going apeshit the next time a Democrat controlled Congress uses a firearm-related tragedy to ram a poorly-conceived gun control bill down our throats under the same exact pretense.

This is what I was hoping to hear. Good for him.

This is an emergency funding bill. Time matters. And, there is zero chance that it doesn't pass.
Use your common sense and realize that the arguments for and against this bill can be had after it is passed. Massey can vote against it and then go on the airwaves for as long as he wants to make his case for why we shouldn't have done it.
But, slowing down the process doesn't accomplish anything other than slowing down the process.

All of that sounds heroic and all, but it’s pointless. This bill is going to pass in the House. What’s in it is already out there. If someone doesn’t want to go look for that info, then they aren’t going to listen to the House debate it today. So, now we will have members likely using taxpayer dollars to commute back to Washington just to accomplish the same thing that could be accomplished in a voice vote. And it will be accomplished in person, and Massie isn’t going to stop it.
