Correct. There's a bunch of ignorance in this thread and even worse cruelty. A young woman is dead, and all anyone can do is celebrate her obesity? That's quite disgusting. While obesity will cause health issues, it is not in and of itself one; meaning being obese does not make you one with an "underlying condition" that would make you susceptible to ChinaFlu's worst possible outcome. If she had respiratory issues, heart condition or some other problem, then sure; however, we have no idea if any of this is the case strictly based off of her picture.

The other fact of the matter is there will always be anomalies in the mortality rate of any disease. While there have been a handful of young, healthy human beings who have died from ChinaFlu, they are strictly an anomaly based on all the data we have. It's noise, nothing more.

They're not celebrating her obesity so much as marshalling their own defense mechanisms.
