The Path Forward: Nuclear Option for Trump

Here’s what Trump needs to do, he needs to get with Powell and Mnuchin. He needs to sign an EO authorizing the federal reserve the ability to directly send Americans their Trump stimulus checks. This cuts out all the BS middlemen.
To the crowd OHNOEZ that’s illegal or unconstitutional. Maybe so, but by the time the courts get to it the money will be in the people’s hands and back the Do Nothing Dems into a corner.

Well, I mean. It's not remotely legal but then again, as near as I can tell, "emergency" means that nothing about how our government is SUPPOSED to work applies anymore and everyone suddenly has vast dictatorial powers.
So why not?

But damn. I'm not sure we can even argue the President does NOT have this power because...…….apparently, if you declare an emergency...…….no matter your level of government, you become a defacto dictator.

Because of the precedent it sets. Just think if a Democrat like Nancy Pelosi gets elected and decides what’s good for the goose is good for the gander. There is no telling what she would do.
