Already seeing many articles and italian politicians cite it as such, at least for Italy.

Do you view it as the biggest story since ww2?

I think it could end up that, but people forget the 60s, cold war, vietnam, etc.

I will the DISRUPTION (and economic effects) are biggest since 30s and 40s

No, an American President was assassinated at the height of the Cold War.

The wars against the Camorra, Ndrangheta and the Sicilian Mafia are more important imo.

People forget how many were going to die with the last round of tax cuts.... Yeah, it makes all the liberal talking points almost comical in perspective

Correct. It's not even the worst financial event. Market lost 50% of value in 2008.

9-11 still tops it

We have had pandemics before but nothing on this scale since Spanish Flu and that was 100 years ago.

I think it's a pretty good question. There's a very strong argument for yes to that in terms of overall affect/effect on a worldwide scale.

It’s one of the bigs since WW II. I don’t think anything since then has topped WWII. That was almost unique in its bigness. But Chinese Covid is right up there.

It's easily the biggest thing in our lifetime, I'm 59.

I don't know if some of you people are just ignorant, or just stubborn, but you all are dead wrong thinking this is just some hiccup in our history. Wake the frick up.
