I have three kids and live in Manhattan; We just got back from letting them run around at the park. Tons of people out and about, but keeping distance from each other, no kids playing on the playground equipment, and lots of hand sanitizer being used.
The people staying seem to be the respectful and sensible ones.

This is exactly what happened in Italy. People in highly infected cities got word they were about to be quarantined and they fled the area....taking the virus with them. Seriously, this is the worse idea ever! If you are in a highly infected area, assume you are infected and stay put for 2 weeks. Now the entire country is having to shut nearly entire cities down to keep people from going out.

Correct. If every single person who was able to quarantined for two weeks, it would theoretically allow the virus to run its course.
