re: How’s Georgia?

Most recent info concerning cases on Georgia Dept of Public Health. We seem to be looking good!

It's not rocket science people....it is "scary" because some who are infected can be asymptomatic and go about their normal business and continue with community spread. Yes, most who get it will recover, until the community spread continues and eventually gets to your grandmother or a nursing and they die. So the "scary" part is someone who asymptomatic can spread the virus without knowing it, and likely will never know it. This can mostly be prevented if people become hand cleaning Nazi, stop touching their face, and practice social distancing.
You do know they are coming at a slower rate each day for the last several days don't you?
Again, this has nothing to do with the death rate....it is simply about the number of people who need hospitalization/ critical care in such a short period of time. Demand>supply = death
You do realize that we are at 14.6k deaths now, and 1.6K were new today. If you're wanting 15K, check back tomorrow. The point is not the total deaths, or that more with die from the flu.....it is very simple, we are simply trying to mitigate so as to not overload the healthcare system all at one time. That's it, plain and simple. We possibly could not handle so many severely sick people at one time. Do you honestly think we are having FEMA and the National Guard re-purpose buildings, make large capacity quarantine wards, and move Navy hospital ships to these "hot spots" (NY, California, Washington) because this is "bull shite?" Ask Italy, which is about 2 weeks ahead of us, what they think about it being a farce and let us know what you find out.
For those of you who would prefer Italy's situation, why don't you check and see how things are going in their economy these days....

I'll wait

This is exactly what happened in Italy. People in highly infected cities got word they were about to be quarantined and they fled the area....taking the virus with them. Seriously, this is the worse idea ever! If you are in a highly infected area, assume you are infected and stay put for 2 weeks. Now the entire country is having to shut nearly entire cities down to keep people from going out.
More info..I'm a high income earner (medical, own rental property, ancillary medical facilities etc). I do not have a lot of free time to do it all on my own, although I do research/read etc.

What I currently find valuable with my current FA: we speak regularly, he answers calls/texts/questions, he informs me of potential upcoming IPO's that I would not otherwise be aware of (and many of the IPO's he makes absolutely nothing off of), keeps me "well balanced" and mainly as a sanity check.

My 401K that he manages was up 24% last yr, the brokerage account he assists with was up 29%. After maxing 401K, backdoor ROTH, HSA, kids ROTH and 529, I do have some expendable income that I like to "play" around with in the market on my own (no assistance)..I tend to be very aggressive, high risk/high reward and last year was up 67%. But I certainly do NOT want my FA to take the risk with my 401K that I did.

So, for me, I have the money but not the time, and I'm smart enough to know that can be a dangerous thing.

I posed the question to see everyone's thoughts and I do find the info helpful. Thanks!
