In the last 24 hours:

Wife: dental hygienist, laid off until further notice

Older son: physical therapy, hours cut in half for now.

Younger son: boilermaker, laid off until further notice

Me: teacher, still being paid, but can’t cover bills.

Can they file for unemployment? I know it’s not much but something temporarily.

How in the hell did he get into that?? Is there a lot of call for that trade? Just interested if you don't mind.

I took a 3 week furlough till a project started. When I called 2 weeks if that was still the plan because of cv-19, they laughed and said yeah. Now I’m afraid to ask. My wife is still working thank you lord but when they sell out of guns ( sporting goods store) I’m sure they will close.

Sorry to hear that man. You are a good poster. Hang in there and do your research and use every piece of assistance that's put there.... Unemployment, etc..

This comment doesn’t help. It’s just rude and obnoxious.

A lot of people. It's going to get worse too until we can lift the shutdowns or restrictions.

Our factory was offered voluntary lay off. Not sure if any took it or not yet. They were hoping for about 20.
