And everyone will just hit the bars in the suburbs that have government that isn’t going completely insane over an illness on par with the flu

Eh, I don’t know for sure but I think it’s all of Illinois. It was the governor who announced it

They are truly about to starve out the lower class workers. And I feel likely nobody is truly talking about it

If you say so. All those college aged kids who had classes and/or work cancelled aren’t going to be staying home quarantined every night. If New Orleans shut down all the bars, they’ll just go find a place to go out in Jefferson

Pritzker just enforced it for the whole state. I don’t think kids are going to be driving an hour or two to go party in places that will likely follow suit soon, anyway.

It’s the entire state.

I just read the statement and it’s snobby as frick.

quote:

"I tried earlier this week to appeal to everyone's good judgment to stay home, it's unfortunate that many people didn't take that seriously the time for action is here," he said. "This is not a joke. No one is immune to this and you have an obligation to act in the best interest of everyone in this state."

Ok, so people didn’t self quartinos, your going to punish us. fricking A

The problem would be that if they think it spread a lot from Mardi Gras, then Jefferson will be seeing increasing numbers as well and I would imagine they would follow if it's bad enough.

A lot of the current cases are Jefferson residents

Nobody is. They closed down our office and we'll be working from home for the next three weeks. All the folks that work in the cafeterias and in facility maintenance are screwed. This will resonate throughout the economy.

Some people in large cities have no means to cook and we’re not far from Chicago. I’m flying today but wife just pinged me and said, ‘because of this’, she’s headed to the butcher/packer for a quarter cow and refills on our 8 5gl jugs of water....

Good.

Stay the frick home and stop hanging out with a bunch of people.

Why not just go sit at random casino tables and touch the chips and cards and breath next to everyone
