Is this just for public or is it ALL schools? I wasn't sure if the Gov. can tell a private school to close.

There really isn’t anything the govt can’t do in theory, it’s what people are willing to accept

At this point even if a school isn't officially cancelled I'd say you pretty much have carte blanche to not go/not let your kids go.

I dont have any first hand knowledge from inside the meeting, just that it's definitely happening right now, and the info leaking out from ppl in it is that it's done.

Can confirm what you said. Someone in the meeting called me and said it’s a done deal. “Final announcement” around 3 pm, gov will have a presser
