Presser this afternoon. 3 weeks for public and charter schools. Private will likely follow suit. Executive order.

At least add the closures to OP and make this useful.

Just got off phone with teacher wife. They have been told to make sure all kids are enrolled in Google Classroom and that all teachers know how to use Google drive. And it has to be done today
quote:Yep, and the number of public school kids that qualify for free meals would likely not even have the computers at home to access the Google Classroom.
They might as well just cancel and not worry about it. Kids are stupid and that’s over the head of 90% of teachers.
Public schools in my area can't even supply elementary classrooms with a community computer for a class of 25+ students. 95% of the kids qualify for free meals, and they are well fare families who need constant financial support from the community to provide the most basic school supplies, i.e. paper & pencils.
How can a school board require a teacher to instruct students to enroll in Google Classroom when the majority won't have the instruments to access to it from home?

I'm sure baby mama got her a cell phone.
You ever seen a poor person without a cell phone?

It's JBE, school days are over around that time so make the announcement right at the end of the day so kids dont flip out for 3 more hours.
