That's so fricking stupid. If they don't play, they don't get paid. You're obviously not watching because the gallery is large.

It is today. They aren't allowing crowds for the rest of the tournament.

In two weeks mark e is going to look like joe alleva after the lax scandal. Tv heads are going to oust him.

Um, what? All professional sports essentially have been cancelled. You think Emmert is going to get in trouble for doing the same thing?

Maybe to stupid people. Schools and conferences were pulling out of the tournament before the NCAA cancelled it.

The professional leagues have acted reasonably. You know, the suspended the seasons with full intentions of getting them going again at the first opportunity.

That's quite different than what the NCAA just did.

I booked my plane tickets to Omaha on Monday. Why cancel an event 3 months out?

No they suspended active not canceled. There is a big difference.

Mark E will look foolish once it passes in two week to a month and then you could have held a tournament.

You think tv executives are going to be happy losing millions because old mark can’t control a difficult situation? They are going to bend the NCAA over in the next round of contracts.

You think they didn't have input?

And replace their sports content with what? If anything, this will show the networks how much they need the NCAA.

I don’t think any of us know if there’s an overreaction simply because we don’t know how all this will play out honestly. Anybody saying different isn’t being honest.

30-35k people die every year in Auto accidents. Would it be an overreaction to stop all driving? If it’s an overreaction..then you’re comfortable with 30-35k unnecessary deaths? We can play games like this forever. 39 people have died in the US due to Corona..we are definitely overreacting.

No one knows because no one knows who to believe ?

What are the true unbiased facts about this virus ?

Not Fromm CNN
Not from Fox News
Not from the Liberals
Not from the conservatives

What is the actual threat proven by science...not people like Al Gore ?

I can’t imagine how bad it would be if a real hyper virulent outbreak happened

There's a reason I have thousands of rounds of ammunition.

I mean, it's mostly because I REALLY enjoy shooting as a hobby and burn through a few hundred rounds of varying types a week. It's also handy in the event of a complete societal freak out.

I think they are looking at a 4-6 week dead period at the least to try and let this pass. If not more

At that point making up these things are almost logistically impossible. Less important, determining fairness with postseason seeding is another problem in itself. And in the end, no one wants to be on the hook from a liability standpoint

Christ, how difficult is this? It exists outside the body for a long time, it could infect a massive amount of people in our country if preventative measures aren't taken.

What's 2 percent of 600 million?

Of course not everyone would get it but what If this virus that has no cure infected 40% of the nation? It would be devistating, hospitals would be overrun and health care for our entire country would deminish greatly, business would suffer meaning so would our economy.

Why are you people so dense and unable to use critical thinking?? Too mad about not seeing your fricking sports for one season? Stfu and find something else to do ffs.

Really weird that people on a sports message board would be pissed off about losing almost an entire season of sports they follow. Ease up champ, its fresh news

There's a difference between pissed and downright ignorant.
