Correct, it targets and effects the elderly the most, but can and will be carried by anyone who can in turn spread it to the elderly.

Add in that we're not immune, don't have a working vaccine and probably won't for another 12-18 months, and that it's still uncertain what long term health effects could result from it (permanent lung fibrosis unfortunately looking likely), it's not exactly something you want to mess around and contract regardless of your age or health. This could also very well end up being another sickness that remains in the world as it mutates with each passing season.
