If the Good Lord were to see fit to hit San Fran with an asteroid .... it would be no great loss imho. San Fran has lost all redeeming qualities, It is the modern day Sodom. L.A. or Portland would probably be your Gomorrah and Admah. Zeboim would be deep water Oakland.
They can not go on like this for long. Abstract anarchy, filth, immorality and debauchery.
I get the vices, they're cool and all and we all have them, but those cities check all the boxes and and they are extreme to the point of being societally destructive. They are poisonous to the rest of the world on almost every level because they operate under the guise and protection of being contributory members of the greatest nation on earth .... when, in fact, they are more like petulant destructive step children hell bent upon self-destructing.

.... the kingdoms of Sodom and Gomorrah were allied with the cities of Admah, Zeboim, and Bela. These five cities, also known as the "cities of the plain" (from Genesis in the Authorized Version), were situated on the Jordan River plain in the southern region of the land of Canaan. The plain was compared to the garden of Eden[Gen.13:10] as being well-watered and green, suitable for grazing livestock. Divine judgment was passed upon them and four of them were consumed by fire and brimstone. Neighboring Zoar (Bela) was the only city to be spared. In Abrahamic religions, Sodom and Gomorrah have become synonymous with impenitent sin, and their fall with a proverbial manifestation of divine retribution.

I love Police that kill people resisting arrest. The great equalizer to all this foolishness.

I bet every item on pegs with more than $10 requires a key... or it will soon.

Can't wait to go to Cali. I'm gonna make out like a bandit.

This video raises three issues.
1. The misdemeanor/felony threshold. Proposition 47 is a “California” issue, rather than a “San Francisco” issue. It was passed FIVE YEARS AGO, and it set the limit for “petty theft” at $950 statewide. There are two sub-issues.
First, previously the DA had the discretion to charge smaller thefts as either misdemeanors or felonies, at their discretion and based upon a number of factors. It led to very mixed results and selective prosecutions. Setting a fixed figure removes those factors. One can argue that as either a positive or a negative, but I tend to see it as the former.
Second, $950 as a threshold is not really that high. For comparison, Texas is $1,500, and few would argue that Texas law is “soft on crime.” In most jurisdictions, the misdemeanor/felony threshold has been raised over time, so that roughly the same size theft (in terms of purchasing power) stays in the same category.
2. No arrest/prosecution. This is supposedly a “San Francisco” policy.
First, “no arrest.” Put simply, I have looked and have seen no evidence that any such policy exists. Sorry, some idiot on Twitter is not “evidence.”
Second, “no prosecution.” I have again found no evidence of any such general policy. Certainly, there are instances in which the DA does not prosecute petty theft, and there are a number of diversion programs as well. Most of these focus on first-time offenders. There does not even seem to be a formal policy similar to the Dallas silliness regarding thefts of necessities.
3. This video. Does anyone actually believe that THIS video is real? Just listen to the fake exclamations of outrage. They sound like especially bad community theatre.

I told my friend/gas station owner (he's Palestinian but cool as isht) about this law. His response: "That's why people are leaving California and moving here!" ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconrotflmao.gif)

What? I thought they weren’t supposed to be arrested?

So thanks to this law in Cali, you can now steal a firearm and it's a misdemeanor. It is now easier to acquire guns in Cali because of this law. ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

Google results showed many being arrested in multiple examples.
Maybe you can represent them if the ambulance chasing is slow.![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/icons/shrug.gif)

Not sure why some posters feel it necessary to wildly guess at others profession (or sexuality and race).
