Pretty sure that's going to be a no from the vast majority of, well, everyone.

It’s not “in theory”. It is legal for a citizen to sell a gun to another citizen from the same state.

But the gun show can require the background check. Virtually all of them do.

This would just be a matter of policy at a private event, not a legal requirement. If I went to a gun show where the policy for admission was that I had to have a FFL run a NICS on a private sale that I wanted to conduct, and I chose not to do that, I am not breaking the law. They can kick me out and ban me from shows they put on in the future, but it’s no different than concealed carrying onto private property that posts a no firearms sign.

I've bought two guns over the internet, and both times they had to go through an FFL and 4473 background check.

this is correct. been doing this for years.

these bastards will chip away at the 2A till eventually you have no 2A rights.

the feds and many states do not have your interest in individual rights to be a priority.
free speech on university campus' has been practically eliminated in many states.

fu doomberg bitch.

Did he recommend buying a shotgun?

No, he basically told the guy he was better than him and deserved armed protection because he is a rich, important guy (I'm paraphrasing, but not joking or exaggerating in any way.)

The only time I have seen guns change hands without a background check is when my father handed me some of his guns that he didn't want wife #5 to ever get her hands on. Unfortunately when I was hauling them on a boat they all sank.
sorry for your lose. some boats just aren't gun worthy, i know.

You must not know about all of the loopholes that the Dems, that don't own guns, know about.

This is why you can never trust the left on guns. The guy asked why Bloomberg's private security guards should be allowed to own weapons and magazines that Bloomberg wants banned, obviously referring to "assault weapons" and "high capacity magazines."

Bloomberg responded by completely ignoring the man's question, feigned as if he did not know what was asked, and then launched into his spiel about gun show loopholes and internet sale loopholes. There is no internet sale loophole (so he is just wrong) and I have never been to a gun show where background checks were not conducted (so he is misinformed). He obfuscated the topic AND managed to be stereotypically wrong on the issues involved.
