I don't think that anonymous message boards are too bad, just folks venting, then they can go about their normal lives.
The Facebook and other things, can mess people's worlds up though.

It's possible to use social media in a way that's not corrosive:

Rap music is up there IMO.
Not only is the sound just awful. Think of all the things it actively glorifies; killing, drugs, sexually disrespecting women, gun violence, gang activity, etc
Combine those lyrics with impressionable pre-teen kids with very very little parental supervision and no positive male role models and the cycle continues. It’s also pretty sick when some talking head from an equal rights group gets on CNN and blames everything under the sun except for rap culture.
Social media is horrible for causing people to waste time/lives but Rap music is responsible for thousands of deaths annually.

It has made people weaker. We make up problems we have out of pure boredom not realizing how good we have it in today's time. I am disgusted every day with what I see on there.
My personal favorites:
I have have had multiple people ask me if my marriage is doing ok bc they don't see me posting anything about it on social media. No, it is just nobody else's business and we don't need likes to show value to our marriage.
Also there are people on there that have "professional" photographers take pictures of them with a sonogram pic of a baby that is 10 days old and then make a long post a couple weeks later that the baby didn't make it. Then a couple months later they do the same shite all over again. It is nauseating. And I have seen multiple couples do this. I feel for people that lose kids but my lord, leave it off facebook and deal with that privately with your loved ones.
Just seems like if you don't have 100+ likes on posts about major milestones in life......did it even happen?
