How good is the guy? Would he start for a top 25 team in D-1? Can he single handedly take over a game Tebow style? Is he worthy to carry the hopes of App. St. fans on his shoulders? Is there anyone on that team other than him worth a darn?

Doesn't Craig Nall play for them now?

He's good enough to start on some top 25 teams. He can single-handedly take over games against average and some above average teams - he won't do it against great teams.

Nall transferred to Northwestern State in '01 and got drafted by Green Bay in '02.

The truth is AE is as SPECIAL an athlete as anyone would want on their team at ANY LEVEL.

He has gained 20+ lbs since freshman year. He could be playing for Gamecocks or Clemson if he had weighed 185 out of high school.

Many if not most of our other players are like AE came out of HS with size issues or they wanted to play football not watch it from the sidelines of 1A school.

APP is NOT traditional 1AA team. We are 12-0 over the last 3 years in the playoffs.

We have grown in speed and depth over the last 3 years so that like many other people have said APP would be in top 50 1A teams.

I think you will enjoy the way AE plays Football on AUG 30, no matter what the score is.

That has nothing to do with the question.

How about this , no one can answer any of those questions until Aug 30 because we only play one 1a team a year.

Everything about him is speculation when it comes to comparing him to Top 25 teams and QB's.

Nooooooooo. We must speculate. It is fun and it's the reason why we have TD.com. Keep it going.

Or else I will have to get back to work.

I just dont see Edwards doing much against us.

Our D is better than any you have ever seen

Your O-line will not hold our front 4 therefore Edwards will try and run outside, then our OLB's will tear him up.

Well, I tend to agree. I hate to sound over confident, but I relly think this team is going to step up and do it quick. If we play clean football and take care of the ball early in the game(and the season for that matter) I think a lot of heads will turn....and a few will roll on the 30th. It shouldn't be close...at all.GO TIGERS!

I haven't seen him do anything special against good talent. Way overrated.

so he is about 185 now? Do you think a guy of that size can run around as much as normal and take a full game of pounding from LSU? I know he missed a few games last b/c of injury.

Also, as an App State fan is it worth risking injury to Edwards against LSU and him be out for a while...or if the game is out of reach bench Edwards early to keep him healthy for the rest of your season.

Dear God, Please dont let me cross paths with Chad Jones or he will completely destroy me if I get out in the open.

You would think so but ive seen him take some hits from guys who are now in the NFL and pop right up and the other guy was the one in pain on the ground
