My life would be worst without Jeff Bezos, AWS has been a game changer within IT.

People would rather just focus on taking his money. Almost no one wants to focus on the fact they haven’t created as much are as useful as his products are.

It’s far easier to take something than it is to build something.

the rightward lurch of the GOP thanks to the Tea Party, and now Trump, has pushed me to vote for Dems.

And which way is the Democratic party lurching? I'll tell you: They've already taken a hard left into the bottom of the Grand Canyon.

The impressive part is that he said Trump caused the party to go super right wing, then in the next sentence, says Trump isn't even right wing. It's fricking clown world.

Modern republicans are more like the moderate Dems of the 1980s than the other way around. They used to hate being called Socialists. Now one is their front runner.

Eh, it's not like the main liners are Bernie fans. Just look at the shite they pulled on him last time for Hillary.

Both parties are far more alike than different. And neither care about anyone other than who lines their pockets.

The success of AWS has made MSFT shift their focus onto open-source technologies and developing their own cloud platform both of which they have allocated vast sums of money.

Absolute power is what it is, no one handles it with the virtue they portray. I’d say states rights, but shite our states are run worse. Idk.

We looked at AWS but already had a pretty entrenched relationship with MS. Our business is mostly hybrid cloud so we still have plenty of on prem stuff too. I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I think it’s great and admirable that a person manages to amass a billion bucks. However,
Historically, it seems that vast disparities in wealth between large segments of a society almost inevitably leads to collapse or insurrection.

Yeah that's one of the main issues with libertarianism. Alabama is run by absolute morons.

Meh. Your state is trying to improve itself. I'll see you and raise you Louisiana politicians..

We can both always move if we want to. That's the beautiful part of having 50 little economic experiments with free movement between them.

MSFT was smart to capitalize on their existing relationships with businesses through Office 365 which opened the door for things like Azure AD. My current project is migrating ancient IBM systems onto the AWS platform but they recently announced some of their assets will be heading to Azure as well. Massive undertaking but they will be incredibly agile after the process is completed.

I'm registered Democrat but always struggle to find candidates I align with totally on either end of the aisle. I used to be registered Republican but I switched after Trump was elected.

This year I was full Yang gang, and I still think he and most of his policies are the best way forward for our country. Most of Bernie's policies, if they pass as he proposes, is going to bankrupt our country and wreak economic havoc. The only hope I have with Bern is that he'll shoot for the stars but land in the moon.. instead of single payer healthcare, we get a public option that competes with existing insurance. Instead of canceling all student loan debt, we make vocational/technical colleges free so people can land good paying blue collar jobs that aren't about to be automated away. Bernie is as divisive as, if not more divisive, than Trump and that scares the shite out of me.

If you've written off Yang as a one-trick pony, I strongly recommend everyone goes to his website and reads his policies. He will be back in future runs, and he's going to do his best to grow his popularity. He has 130+ policies, all with excruciating detail, numbers and statistics to back them up. At least check out his signature policies: Freedom Dividend, Democracy Dollars, and please check his climate change policy which does include nuclear power through Thorium as fuel.

Okay, so what's the solution other than tax the shite out of billionaires? They aren't going to quit making money and finding tax breaks. And where does that tax money go? Far more likely to line the pockets of rich cronies than boost up the lower class.
