Villain for a third Batman film?

So just about everyone knows Harvey Dent will turn into Two Face at some point in The Dark Knight, but my question is, what classic Batman villain would you like to see Christopher Nolan tackle for a third Batman film?
He's already said he won't do the Penguin or Robin, because those characters are too hokey and unbelieveable for his genre of Batman. By the same token, you'd think villains like Mr. Freeze, Catwoman, and Clayface wouldn't work in Nolan's world either.
The reason why it's safe to assume there will be at least one more villain if a third film is made is Batman Begins had three main villains (Ras Al Ghul, Scarecrow, and Carmine Falcone) and The Dark Knight has The Joker, Sal Maroni, Lau, and eventually Two Face.
What about The Riddler as some sort of Unabomber-type terrorist?

I guess one has to ask how long do they plan on running this series first...
How long are Nolan, Caine, and Bale willing to stick?

Personally, I don't know where they would take the story for a third film. I just don't want them to start repeating themselves. But, if they make say $500 million at the box office, maybe they'll decide they can throw something together.

how about having investigate the Green Hornet and Kato as criminals, even though their good guys, they were vigilantes, not considered heros.
They would get pissed and take him on.

Te Riddler in Nolans twisted Batman world would rule.

I think Nolan does a great job of making the characters "believable" like Scarecrow.
I dont see him doing Penguin, Clayface,Mr Freeze, or Catwoman.
I think Riddler or Bane would be legit.

from what i understand, he turns into two-face towards the end setting up the 3rd. the same way the commissioner had the joker card in begins setting up the dark knight.

Catwoman could work, but it won't be her since that piece of shite Berry did. I think Freeze COULD work, but Nolan would have to be very careful. Nolan's Gotham is a tough thing to deal with when considering a comic book. Part of what makes it so brilliant.

Scarecrow also shows up in Dark Knight.
My thoughts:
Freeze or Riddler would be even more villains used from the previous Batman movies. Although I think Riddler is frickin perfect for Nolan's world, I don't know if he'll want to keep going back to those villains. Plus, Carey's Riddler was actually very very good.
Nolan seems very heavy on the mob stuff so we could see Rupert Thorne (prevelant in Batman the animated series) or Black Mask.
Who would I want to see:
Bane - Number 1 choice (would be perfect as the villain by himself, setting up a fourth film with Christian Bale as a side character, giving him a break to come back for 5) Even without that, Bane should be considered.
Scarface and the ventroloquist - Tough to do, but could be worth it
Prof. Hugo Strange - Would be a good storyline
There are great villains from the Animated Series, not the comic books, that would work extremely well.
HARDAC - Artificial Intelligence/Super computer
Red Claw
Phantasm
There's a specific episode called "The Grey Ghost," that, if combined with another storyline, would make a frickin fantastic film. The series was much darker than anything done before, and could be mined for ideas.
Bane and Riddler as top choices overall though
They have to avoid using too many villains, but there are some storylines/villains you could possibly combine. Nolan has my complete trust though, whatever he chooses will be fine with me.

I thought they had planned on 3? I shouldn't ask, cause I don't want to know but is it possible 2 face is the villian? I mean Harvey Dent could get burned late in the movie and set up the 3rd?
Beyond that, I think the Riddler could be done right by Nolan. Looks/Sounds like he nailed the Joker, who was a big douche in Batman and the TV show.

Bale, Oldman, and Michael Caine are all signed on....but Christopher Nolan isn't. Not saying he won't, but he hasn't said he'll do a third yet.

Nolen would be more important then anyone. He has done such a great job setting the mood, and making the outrageous seem believable and realistic. I don't think anyone else could pull it off nearly as well.

Considering we are trying to keep this as spoiler-free as possible, we don't know if the Joker survives TDK or not. Two-Face is indeed being setup for the thrid film though, so that film I don't think the Riddler is viable because that was the team-up of villians in Batman Forever...I definitely want to see the Riddler, but he could carry a film on his own and doesn't need the complicated story of Two-Face vs. Batman in the way.
Nolan, I am convinced, could pull off King Tut and Egghead at this point (ridiculous villians from the old TV series for the uninformed), so I don't think the Penguin (picture Phillip Seymore Hoffman here) out of the realm of possibility. Catwoman, in some manner, would be a great addition for that romantic dynamic-with or without Rachel Dawes.

Really sucks that Ledger died. I think they intended on him being in more then just this one. He is Batman's arch nemesis in the comic books, no?

Edward Nygma (The Riddler) does appear in The Dark Knight, so common logic would lead you to believe he'll be back in the 3rd movie.
