But LEGALLY, do you think that you are entitled to governmental resources in support of your efforts to bring Christian salvation to the heathen masses?

I don't think Christians are entitled to anyone's resources. I do think that Christians should have equal access to public spaces to share their message. And no, I'm not saying religious symbols alone do that.
You should be able (at your expense) to erect a cross. I agree, alongside a comparable statue of the Buddha and a mosaic of Shiva.
You should be able to place a creche at Christmas. I agree, so long as the Hanukkah menorah burns beside it and it is preceded by a Lughnasadh display.
Are we on the same page?
