Crystal ball to LSU for 2020 (Top 100) PG Eric Gaines (SIAP)

Late bloomer prospect that vaulted into the top 80 from nowhere. Would be a huge land because we need talented PG play DESPERATELY

Similar body Type and Athleticism as Ja Morant, style of play isn't far off either. Hopefully he can come in and develop his game in that manner

There's not really a "Deadline", just get enrolled by the time class starts. The next "Signing day" is from April 15 -May 20 though.

He obviously needs to get bigger/stronger because he is a twig at 6'3", but the skill is definitely there. He's probably not quite as skilled or athletic as Morant at that same time period, but you can see the reason for the comparison.
If LSU can sign him that means a second guy with remaining eligibility on this roster won't be here next season. Would that mean Watford and/or Smart will have decided to leave? Or, is Wade going to nudge someone out. Plus, that would give you three guards (Cook, Bishop, Gaines) that seem to all need the ball in their hands to be at their best (4 if Smart stays). Not a bad "problem" to have, but there are only 5 spots on the court.

Yeah I was skeptical but I definitely see the Morant comparison. I don’t think Eric has quite the hops that Ja has, but he isn’t far off.

Yes he is probably going to pop for LSU in the spring , I would think he is a lock for the class as well.

I would guess Bishop might be one looking elsewhere. He's gotten little to no playing time even when we were thin at guard.

Bishop has been hurt, per Wade a few weeks ago, not sure how much it's affecting him, but he was a pretty good pickup, I wouldnt expect him to go anywhere unless we strike a lot of lightning to close the class out like Kuminga.
