Best in a vegetable soup. There are many Italian recipes for it on the webz. If you plant seeds, then grow the vines, be wary and do a taste test before cooking and save yourself some trouble and stomach distress. Cut off the tip (heehee), taste it and , if it is bitter, toss the squash. If it is not bitter, it is good to go.

Peel the outside with a carrot peeler and core out the seeds. Cut up into small chunks. Many different Italian recipes for cucuzza.

When I learned that gabagool is spelled "capicola", it blew my fragile little mind.

Turns out that New Jersey can't quite speak English, can't quite speak Italian, and can't quite spell.
