at what point do you expect movies to at least follow logic?

i recently started getting frustrated by things in movies that just make no logical sense
the parts where there is always a vehicle waiting for them right where they need one to escape in "by coincidence"
and then the ones where they are fighting 20 bad guys with a 6 shooter but after shooting a few bad guys they walk right passed them and leave all the machine guns and extra ammo behind and must fight bare handed or with just a knife and kill 10 more bad guys to survive
at some point i find myself talking to the TV telling them grab the frickin machine gun you idiot
are movies getting more stupid with this shite or have they always done this and i never paid enough attention to notice?

Those are typical action movie tropes. They've been that way since the 80s. If I'm watching an action movie all I care about is shooting and explosions.

The Last American Virgin (1982) did not go as I thought it would.

Why would you put yourself in a sitution where the other man can have a clean shot at you? Even if you hit him, if you don't kill him you're leaving yourself wide open.
The Gunfight at the OK Corral became celebrated b/c it was so unusual, and such a rare occurrence. And even that was not a "Classic" showdown, mana a mano in the street.
Billy The Kid, Jesse James, Wild Bill Hickok... None were killed in a showdown. In fact aside from one confrontation between Hickok and John Wesley Hardin (which ended w/o violence), there were very few if any showdowns IRL at all.

I always find it hilarious that almost everytime someone gets its in shoulder or just to the left or right of the chest and its treated as just a flesh wound.

This. So much. I never fail to notice. 2 seconds later they always run out of ammo or some shite. Or they will show up unarmed then disarm/incapacitate bad guys and still leave the weapon

I’ve noticed a trend lately with law in moves where they nail some specific complex legal concept, then follow it up by absolutely butchering a simple legal concept.

I came across a video one time where they analyzed the beatings the wet bandits took in home alone 1 and 2. Those guys should have been dead several times over, but it didn’t take away from the fun of the movie.

I can't stand it when the good guys and/or the bad guys have guns and instead of taking cover and maintain some separation, they decide to close the distance just to get disarmed and have to fight hand to hand.

I don’t know keakar but I search prime and netflix for movies to watch constantly and only about 15% of them are worth a damn.

Watch some of the fight scenes in Arrow. There are a dozen armed bad guys trying to take down Green Arrow and instead of shooting at him, they go in at him one at a time not firing their weapon.

Movies and TV shows have to at least follow their own logic.
When they break their own rules that have been set up in the show it gets frustrating.
