Interestingly, Wade said a little while ago he's comfortable playing Courtese Cooper...

...in a game now, where he wasn't really comfortable doing that before.
He also confirmed that they're shooting for the Missouri game to bring back Charles Manning.
He also said Josh LeBlanc is the best defensive player they have on the roster right now and that LeBlanc's presence on the scout team has made a big difference in their practices because the starters can't get away with mistakes in practice anymore. He said they're going to work on LeBlanc's offensive game - they're changing his shot and trying to teach him to handle the ball better - but that he has athletic gifts which make him potentially a very high-level player.
So that was nice.

It's lining up to where we will be very good next year.

Excited for Leblanc next year, dude was a big east all freshman player, very very good. Hope he can get a waiver to be eligible immediately rather than wait for mid-season to be able to play.
Still not sure if we see Cooper around next season, I think if we have the chance to upgrade that spot we take it, O'Neal could be it. We wont be turning down Frank Anselem or Mwani Wilkinson either.

I wonder if maybe they work a deal where Shaq picks up Shareef's ride while he sits out and then he goes into the 13 the next year.

You don't ask that question, you give him Coopers scholarship and be done with it.

My god find me a better roster builder out there. I fricking love G.O.A.T Wade.
He will truly be God status at LSU after we win the SEC again this year.
His accomplishments:
Helping get Alleva fired and expediting the exit of Fåg King Alexander.
SEC regular season Championship in year 2 after a 2-16 finish two seasons earlier
Sweet 16
Fantastic and fun recruiting classes
Build this motherfricker a statue and give him a raise and huge extension.

I think he’d prefer a new practice facility

You could tell from his highlights in HS and at Georgetown that Leblanc was a good defensive player. I'd expect him to play a similar role as Kavell Bigby-Williams. He's not going to be a guy whom you run offense through. But, if he can alter shots, grab rebounds and clean up around the rim with putbacks, there is enough scoring talent around him to be fine.
I saw Manning wasn't wearing a boot on Saturday. Getting him back for the Mizzou game seems REALLY optimistic, but I'd be thrilled to see it happen. He could be a very big piece off the bench when UK comes to town.

The end of that interview is great where wade calls out the media for their free lunch buffet

Wade said leblanc will be the best defender we have had since he has been here. Seems excited about that kid

“Marlon’s gotten into a good routine. MY routine”

Honestly, I’d rather bigs like this over ones where you just throw it in and let them go to work. The ball movement just stagnates and the other 4 just stand around watching.

Yeah, even though not a traditional post player, you can see that a bit when they get it inside to Emmett Williams. He's a MORE than willing passer...if only someone would cut to the basket when he has the ball

Just an FYI on LeBlanc...he needs an NCAA waiver to start with the team at the beginning of the 2020-21 season. If he doesn't get the waiver he will be eligible to play the day after final exams December 2020. So at worst LeBlanc will have to miss the first 9 to 11 games next season. At best the NCAA gives him and LSU the waiver and he can play in all games next season.

Maybe now that we have woodward, his bud with the ncaa will do us a favor

The thing about Wade is besides being an elite recruiter, he’s also elite at coaching guys up. Skylar has gotten leaps and bounds better each year under Wade, Watford could barely shoot a FT or dribble a ball when he first got here, now look at him! He might be our best player. Tremont and Reid ended up being nba picks, Taylor has started to develop a 3 ball. So nice to have someone like that
